"I don’t share your optimism". Food will rise in price

Arcady Pekarevsky, vice president of SELA chain, the man who very positively speaks about the perspectives of his segment, confirmed: major sources of fall and problems are not in the crisis but in the system of business.


Philosophy of his company consists in that the period of crisis is the best time for optimization: “I analyze the crisis in 1998 and in 2008 year. In 1998 year there were only 37 our shops, but in 2001 there were about 300 our shops. That crisis made us think about growth in volumes of business”. It appears, that the crisis made Pekarevsky put to rights, in other words to turn to quality of business.

As a result of adaptation of ERP (resource planning system of the enterprise,- editor's note), organization of the offices, lowering of excesses, increasing of quality, widening the company’s order matrix and creative approach to sales, in January- February the company became grow. Sales volume lowered but it almost didn’t influence on rescue.
